Roll the die to name your bugbear (Just click it)
I made this bugbear name generator as a resource to help DnD players get inspiration for a new bugbear character and to help quickly come up with bugbear names for DMs. In DnD 5e, bugbear names are not provided in any of the main sourcebooks. However, I drew inspiration from named bugbear characters in published adventures, as well as from Ed Greenwood, creator of the Forgotten Realms game world.
Ed also indicates that bugbears “tend to have little use for surnames or even tribal names” as their goblin and hobgoblin relatives do. However, I decided to include some suitably guttural-sounding bugbear surnames in this generator — feel free to drop them (or use one as your bugbear’s first name) if you prefer a singular name.
